YDLABS is proud to announce the opening of a state-of-the-art protein production center, the first of its kind in Israel.
This innovative hub will provide dozens of FoodTech startups with advanced production capabilities and end-to-end process development — from initial R&D phases through to advanced scale-up stages.
YDLABS specializes in developing and optimizing food production technologies for startups, helping bring cutting-edge innovations to market.
Gadot Group, Israel’s leading company in the chemical and oil industries, brings to the partnership its extensive infrastructure and one of the largest supply chains in the Middle East.
Together, this new facility and innovation center will offer a breakthrough platform for FoodTech companies, helping accelerate product development and manufacturing, and driving a more sustainable future for the food industry in Israel.
Opher Linchevski, CEO of Gadot Group, shared:
“We are excited to take part in this important initiative that places Israel at the forefront of global FoodTech innovation.
Our collaboration with YDLABS enables us to provide startups with the tools and resources they need to develop cutting-edge products that benefit public health and the environment.”
Ariel Blomovich, CEO of YDLABS, added:
“The establishment of this new facility is a major milestone in realizing our vision for a sustainable, fermentation-powered future.
We’re proud to be the first company in Israel to introduce this advanced technology and are confident it will significantly impact both local and global FoodTech and AgriTech ecosystems.”
Dror Bin, CEO of the Israel Innovation Authority, stated:
“The national R&D fermentation lab we launched today is another key pillar in cementing Israel’s global leadership in the field of alternative proteins.
The Innovation Authority continues to invest in advanced technologies throughout the product lifecycle, and our longstanding commitment is helping this industry thrive.
Infrastructure like this is critical for early-stage companies to scale and become global producers — though costly, it is vital and requires national investment at this stage.
I want to thank all our partners for their dedication and hard work in reaching this point.
We look forward to continuing this exciting journey of innovation and progress, contributing to food security, climate change solutions, and reducing animal suffering.”
